PACT for West Central IL is seeking applicants for Early Head Start Center-Based Teachers for our Center in Quincy. Starting pay is 19.54 per hour, with extra for college degree. Qualifications include:

A)          Must be 19 years of age or older, and

B)          Have Associate, Bachelor, or an advanced degree in Early Childhood Education and be trained (or have equivalent coursework) with a focus on infant/toddler development; or

C)          Have a degree in a related field and 21 hours in Early Childhood with experience teaching infants & toddlers and be trained (or have equivalent coursework) with a focus on infant/toddler development: or

D)          Completion of the Infant/Toddler credentialing program of the CDA National Credentialing Award System with a current credential as an Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate, completion of 12 semester hours or equivalent quarter hours in courses directly related to child care and/or child development from birth to age 6, and proof of two years (3120 clock hours) child development experience in a nursery school, kindergarten, or licensed day care center.

We are announcing the opening for a Site Supervisor for the Quincy PACT Center @ John Wood Community College. This position is full-time, full year. Starting pay is $24.84 per hour.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Requires the ability to meet DCFS requirements for Child Care Director: Must be 21 years of age or older, and

A minimum of associate degree in child development or early childhood education or equivalent (64 semester hours in any discipline with a minimum of 21 semester hours in child development, early childhood education or early childhood special education) and either a Level 1 IL Director’s Credential from Gateways to Opportunity or 3 points of credential approved training or 3 semester hours of college credit in administration, leadership or management.

Requires the commitment to parents as educators of their own children.
Requires knowledge or prior experience in the principles of child health, safety and nutrition.

Requires ability to obtain/maintain a Food Protection Manager’s certificate within 3 months of employment.

Requires knowledge of community resources and the skills to link families with appropriate agencies and services.
